Until Ashley will let us take her picture ;) this is Flo, her foster from Streetdog Foundation! Check them out at www.streetdogfoundation.com
Ashley has been an avid animal lover since the age of 5 when her family added a beloved Cocker Spaniel, Ginger, to the family. Throughout the years, the family owned and rescued several dogs, including two Scottish Terriers who appeared to have been abandoned in the remote areas of Shelby Forrest. At 20, after losing Ginger the family searched for the perfect new addition and thus Scout, a Shiba Inu, came into the family and was her baby until she lost her in April of 2013. She has been caring for the pets of her friends and family for over 10 years, including many of the personal animals of volunteers of the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County, where she has volunteered over the years. She is now devoted to caring for pets full time! She holds a Certificate in Professional Pet Sitting from Pet Sitters International.
Stacy and Elvis! The sweetest dane ever!
Stacy has been picking up stray animals for as long as she can remember. Taking them in until a permanent home was found became a regular hobby when she moved to Memphis 8 years ago. Caring for them, socializing them and finding them their new forever home is the most satisfying part of her days. Now that she has 3 special needs dogs that permanently reside at her (their) house, she's focusing on taking care of other people's pets. And taking hers out for a snack at their favorite restaurants!
Stacy has experience working at a non-profit rescue group for three years, and caring for those special needs dogs and cats. She volunteered for 6 months at the Memphis Animal Shelter and 1 year at Mid-South Spay and Neuter Services. Her continuing education on animals includes The Horse Course and Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Coursera. As a member of Pet Sitters International she has many resources at her fingertips to continue her professional development, and has a Certificate in Professional Pet Sitting from PSI.
